Tomorrow is Alaska, for the first time ever. I'm attempting to get work out of the way before I fly out and just have the Monday of the actual visit for paperwork and checking e-mail. From Monday night on, I'm on vacation in Alaska. That's the plan, at least--to be independent of computers and cell phones and other things that buzz and ring and beckon. But when there's work left to be finished, that's not very likely. By Tuesday night I'll break down and convince myself that there is some work that needs doing. It's not that I'm a workaholic and can't let go, but rather that I just haven't taken care of enought of it ahead of time. Let's see how much I can do on the plane ride over. The in-flight movies rarely gather my attention--the latest Cuba Gooding movie on a 15 inch screen with all the boobs and bad words edited out. I'll pass.

How did you like the state we bought for a little more than a bottle of vodka?
